Ruby Augustus
Greetings Sorors, Interests and Affiliates of Beta Phi Omega Sorority Inc.,
My name is Ruby Augustus and I am the 2nd National President of Beta Phi Omega Sorority Inc. This is an exciting time for Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. as we continue to enhance and press towards the rising mark of excellence.
Over the past 21 years, Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. has grown both in membership and commitment as we continue to set the standard for hard work, grace and longevity. I have been charged with the task of carrying the torch, continuing the vision created by our Founders and those who have come before me.
We have successfully built a solid foundation of service and sisterhood throughout many cities across the United States and abroad. We celebrate our continued success in providing a safe, loving, and growth inspired environment to feminine women that are committed to improving their lives and serving the LGBT community. Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. cultivates leaders who are dedicated to giving back to communities from which they have come.
Our foundation of service has afforded us many opportunities to serve and provide quality programming to today’s lesbian woman. Such programming as our Vote With Pride Initiative, The B.E.T.A. Project, and R.I.S.E. (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) further establish our pivotal role in our communities. Our countless programming initiatives help to build, expand, and challenge the hearts, minds, and souls of those we touch. The ongoing success of our Regional Sisterly Conferences keeps our members connected and informed while our Annual Beta Ball continues to provide our members a bonding experience that will last an eternity. Operation Pretty in Pink was developed to give back to our community by making young ladies feel beautiful and self-empowered by providing formal attire for proms and social school functions. Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. looks forward to providing a unique Greek life experience in a real-life way.
As membership is vital to our organization, Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. prides itself in carefully selecting leaders in their communities to join the ranks of her fellow successful Beta Woman. The Beta Woman is a diverse one; from CEOs to those awarded their Ph.D. We are entrepreneurs, teachers, social workers, community activist, wives, mothers, sisters, and friends. Beta extends its love and legacy to self-identified feminine women who are able to stand out amongst the rest.
With the current expansion of our Dyvine Diamonds and general membership, Beta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc. seeks to provide an environment of personal growth, leadership, and purpose. Our National Board, alongside all of our National Committees and members, remain committed to the dedication and hard work required to meet the needs of the Lesbian community.
Beta Phi Omega Sorority Inc. is more than an organization, it’s a lifetime of Sisterhood! We nurture Beta Phi Omega because we love ourselves and deserve a beautiful space, a strong platform. Further, invest our time and energy into this prestigious organization for the future, women we have not met, women yet to be born. It is all humbling and worth it.
I look forward to serving and guiding in this exciting time.
Respectfully,
Ruby Augustus
National President
